In March I did the "5 Breeds" thing, and on the breeds I never wanted/planned to have was "any type of Angora". I recant that statement. This is the 2nd Angora I've had after I said that, guess life wanted to show me how awesome Angoras are! Anyways, I got talked into a Satin Angora, thank you, Will. LOL Elvira is a white Satin Angora, she's not pedigreed and I don't know her history, but she's a REW (Ruby Eyed White) and that is just what I need for a color genetic breeding project I want/need to do, I may say more about this in the future. She's super friendly, and I really love her! Right now she's not in full coat though, she got shaved :P At this time I don't know much about Satin Angoras, but I am looking forward to learning about type on them, even if I just have one of them, she can be used to help learn the standard, and learn about wool too. I'm lost on wool. I tried to pose her for pictures, I guess I got a semi-decent one, maybe? LOL. I didn't really like REWs, but I think I actually find them pretty now..funny how things change over one rabbit LOL!
It'll be interesting to see what color she is "under" her white cover, and see what happens with my little project over here. So yeah, I brought home an Angora. What will it be next? XD |
